Glass Dharma Review&&Giveaway

I'm sure everyone has heard of the term "Going Green" plenty of times in the past year or two. Recycle your used paper and plastic, don't litter, and figure out how to re-use things and make things more environmentally friendly. Since the Green Revolution, many people have begun recycling their trash, newspapers, plastic bottles, and other items. There is one thing, however, that gets missed. Straws are commonly used in restaurants and fast food. They always find their way to a garbage can or ditch, but never to a recycling bin. Most people overlook them, but one company took the initiative to start their own Straw Revolution and create the Glass Straw.

Glass Dharma has devoted their time to hand-making wonderful glass straws to "contribute one solution to the misuse of plastics in our society."  Their products are simple in design, but make a big statement when it comes to recycling and helping the environment.

I received four of these wonderful straws to review. I got a Beautiful Bends Ice Tea Size, 2 Decorative Dots: 1 Sipper Size and 1 Ice Tea Size, and a Simple Elegance Smoothie Size. They came in labeled boxes with 2 cleaning wires. (Note: Not all straw purchases come with cleaning wires!)

I love the simple designs. The decorative dots add little bits of flare. They are so simple and yet still have a nice elegance. They also make a wonderful conversation starter. The Beautiful Bend is my personal favorite. It reminds me of my not-so-long-ago childhood when bendy straws were my favorite thing in the world!

I thoroughly enjoy having these to use. I feel like I have made my first real transition into the world of Going Green. I will continue to use these and recommend them to anyone else I come across that does not yet have some of their own.

I feel like I should leave you with some more information before the giveaway. So here goes...

  • Glass straws don’t leach toxins into your food as you drink.
  • Each time you use your glass straw equals one less plastic straw ending up in your landfill.
  • One glass straw replaces thousands of plastic straws. (How many times will you use a straw the rest of your life?)
  • Using your glass drinking straw adds a feeling of beauty to your day.
GlassDharma glass drinking straws are:
  • Made of borosilicate tubing and is the strongest glass commercially available.
Means that we have spared no expense in bringing you the strongest, most durable drinking straw possible.
  • Annealed to Corning, Inc. specifications (a process that strengthens the glass).
So you can have confidence you are purchasing the highest quality glass straws available.
  • Made of glass which does not leach ANY TOXINS into your food.
So you can use your non-toxic straws with confidence.
  • Created with the beauty and elegance that only glass can give.
You’ll feel like royalty – with a touch of ‘glass’.
  • A great environmental addition to your kitchenware.
Great for hot or cold drinks, microwave and dishwasher safe!!
  • Covered with our unbelievable Lifetime Guarantee Against Breakage.
Means that if they ever break, we’ll replace them - Free,

  • Hand-made in the U.S.A.

Buying from GlassDharma means that your dollar is not going off-shore - it stays right here in the U.S.A.
These are straight from the GlassDharma website. This is so you know what you're buying and you know that it's safe for you, your family, and the environment. Every straw comes with a Lifetime Guarantee, so if they break they will be replaced for you free of charge. The straws you purchase are high quality and they are willing to stand by it.

"We believe that glass drinking straws are not just a fad, but a
growing trend and that it will not be long before glass drinking
straws will be a normal part of everyday kitchenware in every
household. We are looking for businesses to partner with to
make this a reality. Our hope is that you will find our drinking
straws a good fit with your present product line and wish to
develop a business relationship that not just helps each other, but
benefits the world as well.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
David Leonhardt, Owner"
