This is the mission statement from Team
Novica. They work with National Geographic and artists from around the world to bring us the most beautiful, hand-crafted products. Their website has everything from jewelry to furniture, all made individually with care and love by the hands of true artists abroad.
I was introduced to this site by my
mother who has done reviews for them in the past. I fell in love with it immediately! Everything is so beautiful and I just couldn't wait to get something of my own. When I got the opportunity to do this review, my first problem was picking out that one thing that I wanted to get! I spent, quite literally, a week searching the website for the perfect item. I looked through handbags, jewelry, tableware, tea sets, furniture, and clothing. Then, I found it. I picked out a beautiful hand-crafted
'Star Cascade' Onyx Wind Chime.
Each of the stars are very delicate and make the most beautiful chimes when the wind blows. The string holding them up is so fine that you almost can't see it so the stars seem to float in their own majestic way. I love absolutely everything about this item. And it is a wonderful addition to my front porch.
Another really great thing about
Novica is their wrapping. They put so much time and effort into making sure that your item is safe so it's still in one piece when it gets to you. It came in a really neat cardboard box from Mexico. Underneath that was another pretty package of wrapping paper with a neat little bow. Inside of that was some bubble wrap, then finally the item. And each little star was individually wrapped to ensure its safety.
Each package comes with a post card from its country of origin, an order sheet, and a little booklet that tells you about the artist that made your item. It's such a nice feature to know about the person that made what you've bought.
